1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MAD. for Life website and your purchase of products through it (the “Platform”). The Platform is operated by [INSERT REGISTERED LEGAL ENTITY NAME], holding Commercial Registration No. [INSERT CR NUMBER], with its registered office at [INSERT ADDRESS], Doha, State of Qatar (“MAD. for Life,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing the Platform, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms are concluded in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, including Decree-Law No. 16 of 2010 on Electronic Commerce and Transactions, Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection and its Executive Regulations, and Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection.
2. Definitions
“Customer” / “you” means any person who accesses the Platform or places an order.
“Products” means clothing, accessories, collectibles, and other items offered for sale on the Platform, including under the MADxPadel, MADxGym, MADxLife, and MADxCollect sub-brands.
“Collectible” means an item offered through MADxCollect and described as authenticated or verified.
“Order” means a request submitted by you to purchase Products through the Platform.
“Contract” means a binding contract of sale formed in accordance with Section 4.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
1. You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Qatari law to place an Order. Persons under 18 may use the Platform only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
4. We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where required by law.
4. Orders and Formation of Contract
All Products displayed on the Platform constitute an invitation to treat and not a binding offer. The following process applies, consistent with Decree-Law No. 16 of 2010:
1. You place an Order by completing the checkout process and submitting payment details.
2. We will send an acknowledgement confirming receipt of your Order. This acknowledgement does not constitute acceptance.
3. A binding Contract is formed only when we send a separate confirmation that the Order has been accepted and dispatched, or when we expressly confirm acceptance.
4. We may decline or cancel an Order before a Contract is formed, including where a Product is unavailable, pricing is incorrect, payment cannot be verified, or we suspect fraud or abuse. Where payment has been taken for a declined Order, it will be refunded.
5. Pricing, Payment, and Taxes
1. Prices are stated in Qatari Riyals (QAR) and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of applicable taxes and exclusive of delivery charges, which are shown before you confirm your Order.
2. We take reasonable care to ensure prices are accurate. If we identify a pricing error after you place an Order, we will contact you and you may confirm the Order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
3. Payment is processed through our authorised payment service provider. We do not store full payment card details on our own systems.
4. Title to Products passes to you on full payment and delivery; risk passes to you on delivery.
6. MADxCollect — Collectibles and Authenticity
Products offered through MADxCollect are sold on the basis of the authenticity standard described below. This Section reflects our representations to you and must be read together with Section 9 (Returns).
1. Each Collectible is subject to our verification process before sale. The nature of that verification is described on the relevant product page.
2. We represent that each Collectible is authentic as described at the time of sale. If a Collectible is found to be materially not as described or not authentic, you are entitled to the remedies in Section 9 and any further remedies available under Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection.
3. Collectibles may be one-of-a-kind. Where a Collectible becomes unavailable after your Order but before acceptance, Section 4 applies.
4. [PLACEHOLDER — Specify the exact authentication method, any third-party authenticator, certificate of authenticity issued, and the precise scope and duration of the authenticity guarantee. This clause requires legal review.]
7. Give One — Donation Commitment
MAD. for Life operates a one-for-one donation commitment: for every t-shirt sold through the Platform, we commit to donate one t-shirt to a recipient or charitable cause. Because this is a public commitment communicated to Customers, it is treated as a representation under Qatari consumer protection law and we will honour it as stated.
1. The donation commitment applies to t-shirt Products as identified on the Platform. The specific scope, eligible Products, donation partner(s), and reporting approach are set out at [INSERT LINK / PAGE].
2. The donation is made by MAD. for Life. It is not a charge to you, does not form part of the price you pay, and is not a tax-deductible donation made by you.
3. We may change or end the donation commitment prospectively by updating these Terms and the Platform. Changes will not affect the commitment already triggered by completed sales.
4. [PLACEHOLDER — Confirm the donation partner, whether goods or monetary equivalent are donated, geographic scope, and any cap. Public charitable representations should be confirmed with legal counsel and, where applicable, the relevant Qatari authority.]
8. Delivery
1. We deliver within Qatar using our own delivery operation and internationally via third-party couriers, as indicated at checkout.
2. Estimated delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed unless expressly stated. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
3. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Re-delivery resulting from an incorrect address may incur additional charges.
4. For international deliveries, you are the importer of record and responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import charges levied at destination.
9. Cancellation, Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds
This Section applies in addition to your statutory rights under Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection and Decree-Law No. 16 of 2010. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under Qatari law.
9.1 Defective or non-conforming Products. If a Product is defective, damaged on arrival, or materially not as described, you may request a replacement, exchange, or refund. Notify us within [INSERT NUMBER] days of delivery with proof of purchase.
9.2 Change of mind. Where offered, change-of-mind returns are accepted within [INSERT NUMBER] days provided Products are unused, in original condition, and with tags and packaging intact. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is [INSERT WHO PAYS].
9.3 Exchanges. Size or colour exchanges for clothing are subject to availability and the conditions in 9.2.
9.4 Collectibles. Collectibles found to be not authentic or materially not as described are eligible for a full refund or replacement. [PLACEHOLDER — Specify whether change-of-mind returns apply to Collectibles; legal review required.]
9.5 Refund method and timing. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within [INSERT NUMBER] days of our approving the return.
9.6 Non-returnable items. [PLACEHOLDER — List any items excluded from change-of-mind returns to the extent permitted by Qatari consumer law, e.g. personalised/customised items, intimate apparel.]
10. Product Personalisation
Where you order a personalised Product (for example, custom text or initials), you are responsible for the accuracy of the content you submit. Personalised Products may be excluded from change-of-mind returns under Section 9.6 unless defective. You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, offensive, or contrary to public order or morality in the State of Qatar, and we may refuse such Orders.
11. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, designs, text, and content on the Platform, including the MAD. for Life name and the MADxPadel, MADxGym, MADxLife, and MADxCollect marks, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected under applicable Qatari and international law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our prior written consent.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform unlawfully, to interfere with its operation or security, to introduce malicious code, to scrape or harvest data, or to use it in any way contrary to the laws of the State of Qatar or public order and morality.
13. Liability
1. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Qatari law, including liability under Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection.
2. Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from any Contract is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant Products, except where Qatari law provides otherwise.
3. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
14. Future Services — Lease-to-Own (Not Yet Active)
MAD. for Life may in future introduce a lease-to-own or instalment purchase option. Any such service will be governed by separate terms and may be subject to additional regulatory requirements, including those of the Qatar Central Bank. This Section is informational only; no lease-to-own service is offered under these Terms until separate terms are published. [PLACEHOLDER — Lease-to-own terms require dedicated legal and regulatory review before launch.]
15. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection. Please review the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your Order is the version in effect when your Order is accepted. Material changes will be notified through the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
1. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
2. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably. Failing resolution, the competent courts of the State of Qatar shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer dispute mechanism available to you under Qatari law.
18. Contact
